At Center Stage Singers, we focus on performance and stage presence. Children will learn how to sing solo and with a group, how to harmonize, learn choreography set to music, how to hold a mic, how to read music, basic music theory & notation, and gain self confidence on stage!

“As a youth, I grew up performing and have always loved the thrill of being in the spotlight. During my high school years, there was darling woman who opened her home as a school for vocal performance called “Stages.” I performed in Stages with 3 other girls my age in a group we called The Madri “gals.” And while I was heavily involved in Chamber, Madrigals, and Show Choir throughout High School & College, this semi-private vocal instruction gave me an opportunity to perform and BE the star, as well as build a deeper foundation in music theory and vocal training.
During my high school and college years, I taught private voice and violin lessons, and noticed there was a need for a vocal performance school in North County San Diego. After being hounded by several parents to start something like this in our area, in 2009 I began teaching private voice lessons again -in addition to my full time career as a Marketing Manager for a publishing company; and a year later, I left my professional career behind and “Center Stage Singers” was born! We are a performing arts school focusing on vocal performance: being Center Stage and in the spotlight. The name is also a tribute to my first vocal coach, Jane Tanner who believed that students thrive in a group setting with various “Stages” of learning.
My sincere desire is that Center Stage Singers will build in students a love of music where they can gain the musical skills and knowledge of music and the human voice, build confidence in themselves, and serve as a platform for them to perform.”
